What is Airglove?

Airglove is a worldwide patented air warming system developed to enable venipuncture and difficult intravenous access (DIVA) in a patients arm for the delivery of intravenous drugs which is particularly beneficial for patients requiring extended courses of treatment such as chemotherapy .

How does Airglove work?

It gently heats the patients arm up as it forces temperature controlled warm air (31.5c – 35.5c – 38.5c) through a low density polyethylene double walled (LDPE) glove in 3 minute cycles.

SHARED VISION

We have been working with several partners to assess performance and obtain feedback through real world testing.

SACT Clinical Director, Donna Grimshaw

We have been extremely pleased with the introduction of the Airglove V2 into our clinical practice. The device has been very well received by both staff and patients, offering a clear improvement in comfort, usability, and overall patient experience compared to not having one or previous version.

Patients consistently report that the Airglove V2 is comfortable, reassuring, and easy to tolerate, which is particularly important for those undergoing repeated or lengthy treatments. The enhanced design supports dignity and comfort, helping to reduce anxiety and improve compliance during procedures.

From a clinical perspective, the Airglove V2 is straightforward to use, reliable, and integrates seamlessly into existing workflows. The improvements made in this version demonstrate a clear understanding of both patient and clinician needs.

Overall, the Airglove V2 has added real value to our service, and we would strongly recommend it as a high-quality device that enhances patient comfort and supports excellent clinical care.

Macmillan Chemotherapy Unit Manager

“It does seem to work well though and I’ve been spreading the word through other departments who might also benefit from it.”We no longer use buckets of warm water in oncology at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as our patients request Airglove now as they prefer it. With a 87.5% success rate in our patient service evaluation I can see the results which make our lives so much easier too”
