Bringing innovation to the healthcare ecosystem, positively impacting people’s veins, lives and health outcomes.
Airglove Medical Ltd (formerly Green Cross Medico Ltd) is a medical innovations company currently working in partnership with NHS Innovations South East, Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Health Innovation East. Glasgow Caledonian University and Edinburgh Napier University have both been part of successful Airglove projects and grants. We aim to continue our valued working relationships with the Edinburgh Cancer Centre Western General hospital and the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, along with our membership of the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) and Medilink.
At the end 2024 we raised £500,000 equity investment from lead investor Pulse Angels and co-investor Scottish Enterprise to advance the commercial launch of our patented Airglove product that helps medical professionals successfully cannulate patients first time. Scottish Government Business Minister Richard Lochhead said: “Life sciences provide life-saving therapies and contribute more than £10bn to the Scottish economy every year, supporting more than 42,500 jobs. We have set out measures in our Programme for Government to grow the sector and support Scotland’s international reputation for home-grown innovation. These include accelerating commercial clinical trials and speeding up the adoption of innovations within the NHS to benefit patients.”
