“Anything that could mean fewer needles and fewer tears has my attention 👀💉

Great to welcome Jason Ram, CEO from Airglove Medical Ltd to the Alder Hey Innovation Hub yesterday.

Airglove uses warming technology to help make veins easier to access, supporting that all-important first-time cannulation, fewer attempts, less pain and a better experience for children. ❤️

One less needle can be a pretty big deal.

Obviously, we had to test it ourselves… purely for research purposes 😂

I’m particularly interested in what innovations like this could mean for children having repeated procedures and long-term treatment, where reducing pain, fear and medical trauma really matters.

Some really interesting conversations around what a potential collaboration could look like, I’m excited! 😁

Thanks Jason for reaching out and for taking the time to come and demonstrate Airglove.

Less “just one more try” is something I can absolutely get behind.”

Jason Ram response . . .

“There are only a few times in the week that you feel totally enthused and excited about conversations in meetings. This was one!!

The things that Alder Hey Innovation, Jemma Blake, Lois Rooney, Jessica Roach and the team are doing there truly makes you smile and want to be involved in what is happening there! The first of it’s kind in the UK.

At Airglove Medical Ltd, we have one mission; to make cannulation easier and first time access to veins, especially in vulnerable patient groups, more successful.

Thank you for the enthusiasm and the welcome to the ‘Bat Cave’. I look forward to the future collaborations.”
