Through the end of 2025 and into 2026, we conducted an evaluation of #Airglove in the Oncology Day Unit at @St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
We worked for many months with the clinical team and supported the evaluation process with @ Hugo Cruz, Oncology Clinical Nurse Educator. The results were very positive and even illustrated room for more success.
This led to implementations of Airglove across Oncology units at @St Bartholomew’s, @Newham University Hospital and @Whipps Cross University Hospital.
The Charge Nurse at Newham Hospital Chemo Day Unit, Edmark Maestrecampo said;
“So far, out of 5 occasions I have used the Airglove, I have 100% success rate on cannulating the patient in the first attempt. I would highly recommend the use of Airglove especially for patients with difficult vein access.”
“We had one patient who normally had 3-5 attempts on cannulation but with Airglove, it’s just been one-shot so far.”
“I also personally like how skin turgor and vessel wall structure is somehow firmer with the aid of Airglove.”
Our mission at Airglove is to support as many difficult IV access procedures as possible to make the process easier for patients and nurses, and to make first time access more successful, more often.
Be part of the vanguard, be a VEINGUARD!
