Well done and a big congratulations to Lynda Fraser with her London marathon achievement, to help raise money for the Macmillan Suite in April 2026. We are delighted to help support her and the team at Raigmore hospital plus their patients with difficult IV access.
She said “I am a charge nurse in the Diagnostics and Interventional Radiology Unit in Raigmore. I’ve had friends and family using the Macmillan Suite in Raigmore including my mum, but most recently 2 of my colleagues have been treated for breast cancer and this inspired me to raise funds when I ran London Marathon back in April.
I didn’t for one minute expect to raise well over £3000 when I started so I have been completely blown away by the support from friends and family.
Along with the Airglove unit and gloves I can purchase bits and bobs to thank the staff and to make the patients journey more comfortable. Many thanks, Lynda Fraser, Senior Charge Nurse, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Unit, Raigmore Hospital.”
The London marathon is one of the six World Marathon Majors, alongside races like New York, Boston and Berlin. It is considered the world’s biggest one day fundraising event with 59,000 runners out of about 1.13 million people through the public ballot!
