Airglove: Revolutionising Venous Access in Healthcare
Airglove Medical is delighted to be participating in our first UKONS’s conference with the launch of Airglove V2. In the fast-paced world of clinical care, securing reliable intravenous access can be a persistent challenge especially for patients undergoing chemotherapy, blood transfusions, or apheresis. Airglove is an innovative device designed to gently warm the arm and dilate veins in just 3 minutes, making cannulation easier, faster, and more comfortable.
Developed with patient dignity and staff efficiency in mind, Airglove uses temperature-controlled warm air in a double walled glove to enhance vein visibility without invasive techniques. Its impact is particularly notable in oncology and haematology departments, where repeated venous access is routine and often distressing. In a patient service evaluation Airglove achieved 87.5% first time cannulation with the most difficult intravenous access patients in oncology.
Airglove aims to improve workflow, reduce procedure delays, with positive feedback received from both staff and patients. It’s an example of how simple innovation can solve complex problems bridging the gap between technology and care.
As NHS trusts and healthcare providers seek smarter, safer solutions, Airglove stands out as a scalable, cost-effective tool that enhances the patient experience while supporting clinical staff.
